Meet the people at SPL Security Solutions

Michael Valitutti

Managing Director

In 1990, Michael Valitutti commenced his business as Surfers Paradise Locksmiths. He operated from a purpose fitted van and solely provided a 24hr mobile locksmith service for eight years, before taking on a partner and several employees.

Michael, along with his partners in 2001 had the foresight to expand the business, which to date includes an electronic division, a security division, and an architectural hardware division. In 2004 they moved the business to their owner-built, custom designed building at 101 Ashmore Road, known as SPL House. The state-of-the-art showroom, board room and staff amenities included in the building are a testament to Michael’s commitment to provide customers with the highest quality of products and service.

As Managing Director of SPL Security Solutions, Michael is responsible for the overall commercial operations of the business, which currently employs a very experienced team of nearly 100 qualified staff members.

Michael successfully continues to trust in his philosophy regarding customer service, believing that “the customer’s perception is their reality”.

Vince Todarello

Electronic Division Sales Manager

Vince commenced his apprenticeship in Locksmithing in 1991 where he worked at what was at the time, the largest Security Company on the Gold Coast. Early in his Locksmith apprenticeship Vince was introduced to “Electronic Security” and trained extensively in this area whilst also completing his apprenticeship as a Locksmith. The knowledge and experience Vince amassed over this time allowed him to launch SPL’s Electronic Security Division soon after joining Michael Valitutti in 1999. Vince’s intrinsic understanding of both the Locskmithing and Electronic Security industries has propelled the division from strength to strength and he continues to be an integral part of the division today.

Vince Ransom

Locksmiths Operations Manager and Safety Advisor

Commenced as an apprentice locksmith in NZ in 1987. In 1990 moved to Australia working firstly as a Locksmith for a local business before taking the role of service manager in 1995.

In 2001 joined SPL as partner, Service Manager and in 2009 assumed the role of Operations Manager and Safety Advisor.

Elisa Valitutti

Administration Manager

Elisa has been associated with SPL since the beginning and eventually commenced full time employment over 15 years ago.

Elisa is responsible for all things Admin and heads the HR department.

She also handles the busy role of payroll officer, responsible for the payroll operations of almost 100 SPL staff members.
